Top 10 Upcoming (2021) Games – God of War, Far Cry 6 & many more

2021 is looking to be a bright year as far as video games are concerned, from blockbuster AAA titles to light-hearted Indie games, this year has it all. With that being said, let’s take a look at the 10 most anticipated video games of 2021 that you should be looking forward to.

1) GhostWire: Tokyo

Developed by Tango Gameworks, GhostWire: Tokyo is a First-Person action-adventure game that is set in a fictional version of Tokyo, where 99% of the City’s population has mysteriously vanished. Tokyo is now infested by paranormal beings and your job as a protagonist is to fight these mystical forces with your supernatural abilities.

The game world of Tokyo looks stunningly gorgeous and the combat system looks fluid, to say the least, and even though the exact date of release has not been specified, the first gameplay trailer of GhostWire: Tokyo revealed that the game will be released in 2021.

2) Dying Light 2

Just like its predecessor, Dying light 2 will also be a survival horror action-adventure game that will feature a new protagonist named Aiden Caldwell. The plot of the game is set 15 years after the events of its prequel, and by the looks of it, the game will have significant improvements in every department as compared to Dying Light.

The game is set in a massive urban open-world that is full of zombies, and much like Dying Light parkour and short-range combat are its main focus.
The game does not have a fixed release date as of now, however, a recent tweet on Dying Light’s official Twitter account indicates that 2021 might just be the year.

3) Hitman 3

Hitman 3 is the final installment in the World of Assassination trilogy and is also the eighth main title of IO Interactive’s long-running franchise. The game will take you to various exotic locations around the world, which are not only surprisingly detailed but are full of NPCs to contrast the scenario’s visuals. Hitman 3 offers us more ways to bring down our targets than ever before, and hence the players will have the opportunity to explore the full potential of Agent-47.

IO Interactive has announced that Hitman 3 will be releasing on 20th January 2021 for both consoles and PC. The Developers have also announced that the game will have VR support as well.

4) Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is the sequel to one of the best Vampire games ever. The game is an action-adventure RPG that follows the story of a human turned “thinblood” Vampire. You will be thrown into the merciless world of Vampire politics, and your choices will impact your story going forward.

Fans of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines have waited a long time for its sequel, and by the looks of it 2021 is going to be that year.

5) FAR CRY 6

The Far Cry series is known for its memorable villains, excellent open-world design, and for its brutal action gameplay. The 6th entry of the franchise will be no different as well. This time around the game is set on a fictional island named Yara. This island is controlled by a villainous dictator, who will be portrayed by the famous actor, Giancarlo Esposito.

Far Cry 6 was initially set to be released in February of this year, however, it was eventually delayed. Still, the fans of the series can expect the title to come out at some point in 2021.

6) Gotham Knights

Developed by WB Games Montréal, Gotham Knights is an action-RPG that is set in the fictional city of Gotham. The player takes control of the Batman Family which includes Red Hood, Robin, Batgirl & Nightwing, and they are the last hope for the citizens of Gotham city. This game is a direct sequel to Batman: Arkham Knight and hence it takes place sometime after the evident death of Batman.

Gotham Knights is going to release at some point in 2021.

7) Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite is the sixth main entry of the long-running Halo franchise, which places you in the boots of Master Chief who is an incomparable Supersoldier. This highly anticipated first-person shooter is the sequel to Halo 5: Guardians and was supposed to be a launch title for the new generation of Xbox consoles. However, the game eventually got delayed and is now scheduled to be released in Autumn of 2021.

8) Horizon Forbidden West

If you are getting a PlayStation 5, then Horizon Forbidden West is a must-buy game. Developed by Guerrilla Games, Horizon Forbidden West makes you return as Alloy, the protagonist of Horizon Zero Dawn. This time around the game will feature a much bigger map, more traversal options, and even more variety in enemy types as compared to its prequel.


Both Sony and developer Guerrilla Games have confirmed that Horizon Forbidden West will be released eventually in 2021.

9) Resident Evil Village

Resident Evil Village is the continuation of Ethan’s story from Resident Evil VII: Biohazard. It is a first-person survival horror game that is set in an unknown village, infested by supernatural beings. RE Village looks to take what worked well with Biohazard and go bigger and better in every department. Fans can expect more exciting locations, variety in enemy types, and breath-taking visuals from this upcoming survival horror title.

Developer Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Village will launch at some point in 2021.

10) God of War: Ragnarök

The sequel to the 2018’s Game Of the Year winner, God of War: Ragnarök is an action-adventure game that is based on Norse mythology. The game picks up the story of Kratos and his son Atreus, following the events of God of War 2018.

Developer Santa Monica Studio has specified that this upcoming PlayStation exclusive will be released in the year 2021.
